High on Life 2 is Adding Fully Playable Retro Games — Including the Infamous Bible Adventures

The upcoming sequel to High on Life isn’t just doubling down on its wild humor and sci-fi chaos — it’s also bringing a surprising bonus: fully playable retro games hidden inside the experience.
Fans of the original will remember how Squanch Games filled it with quirky Easter eggs, including full-length licensed movies like Tammy and the T-Rex and Demon Wind. This time around, the studio is going even further by letting players discover and play classic (and sometimes notorious) video games within High on Life 2.
More Than Five Retro Titles Included
Speaking with IGN at Gamescom 2025, Squanch Games’ chief creative officer Mikey Spano confirmed that the sequel will feature “some surprising B+ tier movies” alongside several emulated games from past decades. One confirmed addition is Bible Adventures (1991), widely remembered as one of the worst video games ever released.
“Yes, you can play the whole thing,” Spano said, noting that Bible Adventures won’t be the only emulated title included. While the full lineup hasn’t been revealed yet, players can expect more than five games to be playable in their entirety.
Preserving Gaming Oddities
Beyond being a fun Easter egg, the feature also serves as a quirky form of video game preservation. By officially licensing and emulating these old titles, High on Life 2 gives them a new digital home — and introduces them to an audience who may never have experienced them before.
Release Date and Platforms
High on Life 2 launches on February 13, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The first game became a breakout hit on Xbox Game Pass in late 2022 and holds a 69 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic. With a bigger budget, more polish, and strange surprises like playable retro games, Squanch Games is clearly aiming to level up the experience in the sequel.
