Completing Challenge M-005 on Kronos Island is required for the Kronos Island Explorer Trophy/Achievement in Sonic Frontiers — but it can be confusing until you know exactly how to handle the platforms puzzle.

Where to Find Challenge M-005

• Location: Southeastern Kronos Island, just west of the Zone 1-2 portal (the shrine for the second Cyber Space level).

• Follow the story until you reach Zone 1-2, then head west, cross the bridge to the main island, and stick to the west coast.

• Look for three platforms in a line with the M-005 sign in the middle.

• If you hit a river, you’ve gone too far — backtrack slightly south.

• Alternatively, head west from Challenge M-004 to reach it quickly.

How to Complete Challenge M-005

✅ Step 1: Activate the Platforms

• Stand by the M-005 sign.

• Hold X (Xbox) while aiming at each of the three platforms — they’ll rise up.

✅ Step 2: Climb Up Using the Platforms

• Dash to the southernmost platform first — it’s the lowest, so easiest to reach.

• Jump onto it using X, then jump from platform to platform, pressing X for each jump.

• Once you’re at the top, step on the pressure plate to complete the Challenge and reveal more of the map.
